2022 GREAT Grant Applications

2022 GREAT Grant Applications & Awards

The N.C. Department of Information Technology’s Division of Broadband and Digital Equity is committed to closing the digital divide by executing Governor Roy Cooper’s plan to address access to broadband infrastructure, digital equity and literacy, and affordability. The Division is currently processing applications and protests for the GREAT grant program and will continue to make awards through August for deployments until we have expended the appropriated $350 million for this round of program. We appreciate the interest and patience from applicants and counties.

Additional details about applications and individual grant awards will be available once the review process is complete and all awards have been made.

All applications for the 2021-2022 GREAT Grant (Federal) funding round received are listed below; they have not been vetted for completeness or eligibility. Publication below does not represent an announcement of an award.

In accordance with Section 38.4.(a) of North Carolina S.L. 2021-180 subsection (7), NCDIT made the applications publicly available beginning May 31, 2022, for a protest period of 20 days. All protest submissions must have been entered within this 20-day period.
