State’s Broadband Infrastructure Office Awards and Amends Grants to Expand N.C. Internet Access

The Broadband Infrastructure Office, part of the N.C Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) Division of Broadband and Digital Equity, today announced four additional awards to deploy high-speed internet infrastructure across the state via the Growing Rural Economies with Access to Technology (GREAT) grants.

State Awards $30M in Grants to Expand Internet Access in 11 N.C. Counties

More than 13,000 households and 582 businesses across North Carolina are set to receive access to high-speed internet thanks to more than $30.8 million in NCDIT-awarded GREAT grants, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. This is in addition to the $23.4 million in GREAT grants NCDIT awarded on July 18.
