May 23 Internet for All in NC Event
The NCDIT Division of Broadband and Digital Equity, N.C. Association of County Commissioners, N.C. League of Municipalities, and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration held the May 23 Closing the Digital Divide: Internet for All in NC to bring together stakeholders from federal, state, tribal, and local governments, and industry and community collaborators to discuss coordination on high-speed internet and digital equity efforts as the state prepares to receive significant federal funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
Connecting all people in North Carolina to affordable, reliable high-speed internet is critical to our economic prosperity, and this event provided an opportunity for us to discuss ways we can work together to utilize these federal dollars to the maximum extent.
